Our Veterinarians
Dr. Thomas Hutchison
Managing DVM
Dr. Thomas Hutchison is the Managing DVM at Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, bringing 24 years of extensive experience in veterinary medicine. A proud graduate of Ohio State University, Dr. Hutchison has dedicated his career to providing exceptional care for pets and their families.
At Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, Dr. Hutchison prides himself on taking a practical, collaborative approach to each pet’s medical and surgical needs. His philosophy emphasizes working closely with pet owners to ensure that every animal receives the best possible care tailored to their unique needs.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Hutchison enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. You can often find him hiking, dirt bike riding, or camping, embracing the beauty and adventure of the great outdoors.
Dr. Hickey
At home, Dr. Hickey shares his life with two beloved dogs—a 7-year-old cream Labrador Retriever and a 3-year-old cream Golden Retriever. They enjoy long walks, treats, and swimming when the weather is warm.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hickey stays active by playing golf and pickleball, running outdoors, snowboarding, and spending time at the lake. He is also a lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Angels, a love that started when his grandparents took him to games at the team’s Triple-A stadium in Rancho Cucamonga. His favorite movie is Good Will Hunting.
Dr. Hickey is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every pet and family he meets, bringing expertise and enthusiasm to his work every day.

Alvin Pai
Practice Manager – CSR
Alvin Pai, Practice Manager – CSR at Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, brings 13 years of sincere devotion to his work, and he takes delight in caring for animals and providing exceptional customer service.
A Carrington College’s Veterinary Assistant Program graduate, Alvin stresses compassion and expertise in pet care, as well as assisting clients at all stages.
Outside of business, he values family time, appreciates Hawaiian culture via singing and dancing, and dazzles audiences yearly at the Arizona Aloha Festival as a performer and Stage Manager, providing unforgettable memories for all.
Candace Battaglia
Lead Technician Associate – CSR
Candace Battaglia, Lead Technician Associate – CSR at Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, has 21 years of hands-on experience in veterinary care, which started with a passion for animal rescue.
She treats every patient with the same care she gives her own dogs, prioritizing their well-being with skill and compassion.
While away from the clinic, Candace enjoys live music, hiking, travel, and culinary activities, demonstrating a bright attitude that enhances her professional and personal endeavors.
Katherine Randall
Technician Associate – CSR
Katherine Randall is a Technician Associate – CSR at Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, where she brings a caring touch and a devotion to quality.
Katherine’s passion for her patients is unshakable despite her two years in the field and recent attendance at Penn Foster.
She recognizes that each animal buddy who visits the clinic has distinct requirements, and she takes delight in making every visit medically helpful but also comfortable and stress-free.
Outside of her veterinarian duties, Katherine enjoys the creative realms of tabletop role-playing games and video games, where she may go on exciting adventures with her pals. On quieter days, she relaxes with an excellent book and her favorite music.
Lindy Wilson
Technician Associate – CSR
Lindy Wilson, Technician Associate – CSR at Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, has 7 years of expertise in veterinary practice, graduating from Paradise Valley Community College.
She treats our patients as if they were her own by providing them with the best possible care through compassion, empathy, and understanding.
In her free time, Lindy enjoys spending time with loved ones, including her dog, Sophie Mae, and her two cats, Birch and Willa. She also volunteers at various organizations and enjoys traveling, watching movies, and going to concerts.
Garrett Holway
Technician Associate – CSR
Garrett Holway, Technician Associate – CSR at Dynamite Creek Animal Hospital, has 17 years of focused expertise in veterinary practice and a strong background in conservation biology from Arizona State University.
His dedication to his patients reflects the degree of attention he gives to his cherished pets.
In his free time, Garrett finds peace and enjoyment in the pages of books, constantly extending his knowledge and developing his curiosity.
